Zigmantas Gimbutas started the match with the kick off. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alberto Malheiro hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Nixon in the 11th minute of play. The Cavern Club's Barbaros Bozbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 13th minute of play. Antonio Adán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Nixon's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 26th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Nixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute of the match, Richard Nixon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antonio Adán saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the match, Quintino Carvalhais notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of The Cavern Club's Barbaros Bozbey. Barbaros Bozbey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Zigmantas Gimbutas came free, but Barbaros Bozbey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zigmantas Gimbutas might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barbaros Bozbey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zigmantas Gimbutas ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to The Cavern Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Frank Krasniqi hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Quintino Carvalhais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barbaros Bozbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Quintino Carvalhais in the 39th minute. The corner led to SC Braga's Pipis Dilberis getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yoel Liñan got free with Antonio Adán in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barbaros Bozbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdomiro Lira in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovani Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geovani Mendonça took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Adán. Antonio Adán dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Yoel Liñan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Antonio Adán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barbaros Bozbey was a little too slow when Zigmantas Gimbutas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-3. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Quintino Carvalhais sped through The Cavern Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barbaros Bozbey. Alberto Malheiro got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Geraldo Lucas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 71st minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Barbaros Bozbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Alberto Malheiro hit a great ball. Barbaros Bozbey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Alberto Malheiro got a free kick in the 79th minute. Antonio Adán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovani Mendonça in the 79th minute of the match. Gonzalo Vergaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Krasniqi kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ragnar Lodbrok hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 97th minute of the game was made by Alberto Malheiro with Geraldo Lucas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Barbaros Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over SC Braga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Cavern Club throughout the match.
