Antonio Giorgio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Barambio in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Urtsin Azcarate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Giorgio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Ramon Iztal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes, Segundo Betancia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ingueza and the Bayern Boliviano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Iztal in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck García Folgueras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was Cristi Chificeac who took care of the corner kick. Ramon Iztal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 64 minutes into the game, Bayern Boliviano's Cooper Schurter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Iztal in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg García Folgueras saved Ingueza from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ramon Iztal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bayern Boliviano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Iztal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. García Folgueras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Washington Barambio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Antonio Giorgio made a huge save.
