The goalkeeper, Eric Gary, was totally fooled by AC Mayonnaise's Jan Göransson, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 8th minute, Rudolf Garreau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Åström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Eric Gary made a huge save. Rudolf Garreau made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AC Mayonnaise's Krister Örtlund. The supporters of AC Mayonnaise booed when Jagiellonia Denver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Čačak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michal Majdoch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ksawery Bondel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Åström in the 20th minute of play. If Fredrik Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jagiellonia Denver's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Fredrik Åström scored to the left of an out of position Eric Gary, making the score, 2-0. Eric Gary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Åström in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredrik Åström got free with Eric Gary in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AC Mayonnaise's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anfilogino Lazzaro in the 31st minute. The corner led AC Mayonnaise's Anfilogino Lazzaro to fire away a dangerous shot which Eric Gary despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. AC Mayonnaise's Fredrik Åström got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredrik Åström came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eric Gary could save by the left post. AC Mayonnaise were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Jagiellonia Denver's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anfilogino Lazzaro took the corner. AC Mayonnaise's Rimas Ciparis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rudolf Garreau, made in the 45th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Majdoch to make the kick off. Fredrik Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Jagiellonia Denver's Sun Lin got a free kick in the 56th minute. After recieving a nice pass, AC Mayonnaise's Anfilogino Lazzaro tried to score from far away in the 57th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Michal Majdoch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ksawery Bondel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fredrik Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jagiellonia Denver made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Elias Tharaldsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Gary was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. The AC Mayonnaise fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jagiellonia Denver had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
