In the 38th minute Arsenio Rito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39th play minutes Isidoro Beltran shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Josef Witlatschil and just under the crossbar into goal. After 43 minutes of play, Independiente's Mateo Mendez made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josef Witlatschil was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Beltran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute of the match, Sören Bengtsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josef Witlatschil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Rito got free with Josef Witlatschil in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Napoleon Dropinski. Independiente's Ximenes Castilla was substituted for Arsenio Rito. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pentti Ojala in the 90th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Independiente players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tiger from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
