In the 11th match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco-Antonio Etcheverry to maneuver through the defense. Rambo Ramírez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Aanuţei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pavel Buculeasa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. José Julio Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. 24 minutes in the game Pavel Buculeasa did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vintilă Stoicea. Rambo Ramírez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Aanuţei in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dumitru Cornoiu hit a great ball. Honorio Droguett struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colo-Colo. Colo-Colo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Honorio Droguett in the 35th minute. The corner led Colo-Colo's Cheito Ramírez to a score. 0-3 in the 35th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Martínez in the 38th minute of the match. Rubén Martínez scored 0-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gheorghe Baldovin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Flavius Drâmba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rubén Martínez made a kick off. Vintilă Stoicea hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gheorghe Baldovin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rubén Martínez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's José Julio Almeida got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Strugure in the 64th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Rambo Ramírez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when José Julio Almeida came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Colo-Colo got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Solari. If Flavius Drâmba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute Leonard Aanuţei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rambo Ramírez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Droguett in the 77th minute of play.
