In the 13th minute Ove Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyriakos Vryzas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Vankiva IF's Ove Ström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kyriakos Vryzas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 17th minute, Paris Matsoukelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Babbis Vlontakis's late challenge caught a Vankiva IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Babbis Vlontakis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Babbis Vlontakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Ove Ström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyriakos Vryzas. Olympiakos fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ove Ström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Loukas Tzouganakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiakos fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vankiva IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Olympiakos fc's Loukas Tzouganakis got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 34 played minutes Olympiakos fc got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Vlontakis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaj Hedling in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kyriakos Vryzas prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Vankiva IF's Ove Ström got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nektarios Papaefstathiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Falkrantz having to interfere. Olympiakos fc's Kyriakos Vryzas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Hedling in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Vankiva IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sokratis Liolidis came free, but Anders Falkrantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vankiva IF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mattias Björklund hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Olympiakos fc's Ntinos Krassas got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Olympiakos fc's goalkeeper Kyriakos Vryzas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Ström. Kyriakos Vryzas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Hedling in the 73rd minute of play. When Sokratis Liolidis came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Olympiakos fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sokratis Liolidis couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ove Ström got free with Kyriakos Vryzas in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kyriakos Vryzas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Hedling in the 85th minute of the match. During the 89th minute of the match Babbis Vlontakis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Babbis Vlontakis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 89 played minutes Olympiakos fc got a freekick which was hit by Babbis Vlontakis. After a rather tough play, Olympiakos fc's Nikos Paramithis got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Ove Ström took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Kyriakos Vryzas to make any attempt to save it. The Olympiakos fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vankiva IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
