Batuğ Akşin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jim Askew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calum Bolton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hüseyin Can Akyıldız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Cousens in the 38th minute of play. Adem Kayansel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Askew having to interfere. Jim Askew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batuğ Akşin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Kenny Cousens put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hüseyin Can Akyıldız.

Hüseyin Can Akyıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jim Askew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adem Kayansel in the 68th minute. Batuğ Akşin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
