The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Olgierd Sokolski got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the GKS Katowice defense, Melquiades Beila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Pontes. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Pontes should have stopped the shot. Melquiades Beila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Betão Pontes having to make a save. Lorenzo Fernanco struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Betão Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terapia Intensiva. After a rather tough play, Terapia Intensiva's Alípio Albuquerque got a free kick in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's goalkeeper José Carlos Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomir Zacharek. In the 22nd minute, Melquiades Beila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Terapia Intensiva booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Borys Kiszkiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomir Zacharek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of José Carlos Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th minute Ludomir Zacharek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Zacharek came free, but José Carlos Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Fernanco in the 31st minute of the match. Melquiades Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Santana in the 37th minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Beila in the 41st minute of play. José Carlos Torres made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Ludomir Zacharek sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Terapia Intensiva's Javier Santana got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Melquiades Beila struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Betão Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terapia Intensiva. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ludomir Zacharek to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Melquiades Beila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betão Pontes. GKS Katowice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Beila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Terapia Intensiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benicio Gustau hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. GKS Katowice's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dominik Brysz in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Zacharek came free, but José Carlos Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Luis Nafarroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GKS Katowice's Dominik Brysz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Terapia Intensiva. Dominik Brysz kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Cezary Kasiewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terapia Intensiva's José Carlos Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to GKS Katowice getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Borys Kiszkiel hit a great ball. GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Fernanco in the 80th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Fernanco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Betão Pontes, 0-4. After a rather tough play, Terapia Intensiva's Lorenzo Fernanco got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cezary Kasiewski kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ludomir Zacharek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Torres was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Cezary Kasiewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carlos Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezary Kasiewski ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the final whistle sounded Terapia Intensiva left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than GKS Katowice.
