The Cesate fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Cesate's Kay Stormlund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fábio Lobato hit a great ball. Angelo Ferraris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alex Frasca made a huge save. The supporters of Cesate booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akis Kefallinos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesate's Radowit Ptaszek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Costa in the 20th minute of play. Kay Stormlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Frasca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kay Stormlund ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Kay Stormlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Frasca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kay Stormlund in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Frasca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Torcato Rebocho fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Torcato Rebocho a yellow card for diving instead. Torcato Rebocho kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Akis Kefallinos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Kay Stormlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Frasca. Garanhão do SUL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kay Stormlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
