When Yani Tegarkov came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Lucky Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yani Tegarkov couldn't finish the play. Andrias á Bø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasan Rumangkit in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yani Tegarkov in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrias á Bø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrias á Bø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Caro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Yani Tegarkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrias á Bø was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 24 minutes of play, Lucky Star's Silas Caro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrias á Bø was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Yani Tegarkov in the 28th minute of play forced Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Andrias á Bø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Faroe Islands's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Caro came free, but Andrias á Bø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucky Star were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Faroe Islands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Otong Yulianto took the corner. The corner led Lucky Star's Otong Pink to fire away a dangerous shot which Andrias á Bø despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Silas Caro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrias á Bø was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Andrias á Bø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otong Yulianto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otong Pink in the 38th minute of play forced Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Andrias á Bø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Andrias á Bø, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Faroe Islands's Óli á Borg got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Poul Stanković made a kick off. After some careless play in the Faroe Islands defense, Otong Pink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrias á Bø. The Faroe Islands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrias á Bø should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 59 in the game by Yani Tegarkov from a close distance when the talented Andrias á Bø managed to make a qualified save. Faroe Islands's players were relieved. In the 62nd minute, Silas Caro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrias á Bø. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 70th match minute, Faroe Islands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjúrður Djurhuus to maneuver through the defense. Andrias á Bø was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Yani Tegarkov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yani Tegarkov really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. 76 minutes into the match, Faroe Islands's goalkeeper Andrias á Bø had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otong Pink. 78 minutes into the match, Faroe Islands's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Caro came free, but Andrias á Bø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Lucky Star's Otong Pink nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrias á Bø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Andrias á Bø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yani Tegarkov in the 83rd minute. Andrias á Bø was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silas Caro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 85 minute of play. Óli á Borg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joélson Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poul Stanković in the 93rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Faroe Islands's Andrias á Bø got control of the ball when Yani Tegarkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andrias á Bø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yani Tegarkov's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
