Astillero del Guayas's attentive Marques Martin managed to snatch the ball when Atilla Tarkan Yalaza made a throw-in in the 8th minute of the game. 12 minutes in the game Atilla Tarkan Yalaza did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jonny Ambjörnsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alpertunga Korcan in the 22nd minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Walter Huarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Astillero del Guayas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marques Martin couldn't finish the play. Fatih Özsahin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alpertunga Korcan in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Huarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when MarineerS FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin Can Bilgiç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fatih Özsahin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Erenay Barkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amin Kurd in the 69th minute of the match. Erenay Barkan made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Amin Kurd sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amin Kurd got free with Erenay Barkan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 played minutes MarineerS FK got a freekick which was hit by Atilla Tarkan Yalaza. Atilla Tarkan Yalaza got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jonny Ambjörnsson. When Baldeón Bretal fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Baldeón Bretal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldeón Bretal to maneuver through the defense.
