After 2 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd Warren. In the 6th minute, Jonny Ambjörnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpertunga Korcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when Alpertunga Korcan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The MarineerS FK fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when MarineerS FK's Alpertunga Korcan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alpertunga Korcan in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tuan Libby saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Denny Olson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jonny Ambjörnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tuan Libby was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the game, MarineerS FK's Alpertunga Korcan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tuan Libby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 42nd minute, Jonny Ambjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Alpertunga Korcan made the kick off in the second half. When Young Cross fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zamalek FC's protests and gave Young Cross a yellow card for diving instead. Young Cross kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Tuan Libby was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jonny Ambjörnsson. Denny Olson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alpertunga Korcan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tuan Libby came out and tried to block the shot, but Alpertunga Korcan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 54th minute. Zamalek FC's Tuan Libby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alpertunga Korcan in the 62nd minute of play. Carson Sherrill hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Alpertunga Korcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Tuan Libby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alpertunga Korcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Tuan Libby made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alpertunga Korcan in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tuan Libby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute, Fatih Özsahin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul De La Cruz hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Tuan Libby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Ambjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the game, Hüseyin Turan Toktamış landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Lloyd Warren charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lloyd Warren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 79 minutes into the game, one of Zamalek FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 80 minutes Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Tuan Libby managed, with a little bit of luck, save Jonny Ambjörnsson's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Tuan Libby was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Alpertunga Korcan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alpertunga Korcan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Zamalek FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Alpertunga Korcan scored to the left of an out of position Tuan Libby, making the score, 0-9. In the 93rd minute, Alpertunga Korcan made a precise shot to the right of Tuan Libby. Zamalek FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. When Fatih Özsahin came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the MarineerS FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fatih Özsahin couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded MarineerS FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zamalek FC.
