Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Malcolm Neal kicked off to start the match. Juan Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Virgil Calderwood in the 6th minute really tested Jorge Oberto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Orlando Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Bock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tuan Libby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Denny Olson. In the 14th minute, Monchi Trejos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Jorge Oberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carson Sherrill. Tuan Libby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Bock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Walter Bock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuan Libby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paul De La Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zamalek FC's protests and gave Paul De La Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. Paul De La Cruz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Tuan Libby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Urane in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Denny Olson hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Walter Bock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tuan Libby was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 39th minute, Walter Bock left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buenaventura FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 42 minutes, Walter Bock made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Zamalek FC's Tuan Libby tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Buenaventura FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Malcolm Neal scored 1-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Oberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walter Bock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Orlando Ramírez came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Buenaventura FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Ramírez couldn't finish the play. Jorge Oberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carson Sherrill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Oberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carson Sherrill in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Buenaventura FC got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miguel Urane ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carson Sherrill during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson Sherrill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuan Libby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Urane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Amaya hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Orlando Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dillon Reynolds kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 87th play minutes Walter Bock shot 1-7, a short shot which went by Tuan Libby and just under the crossbar into goal. Walter Bock let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 92nd minute shot 1-8 at rihgt post. The supporters of Buenaventura FC booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lloyd Warren didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Victor Toledano hit a great ball.
