The supporters of Santa Fe booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Décio Marinho managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Santa Fe's Narciso Jacob fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Narciso Jacob had several of the ADM Taquaras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Décio Marinho as he didn't even see the shot coming. Michel Rüdiger hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Silverio Sanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Azevedo in the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Godofredo Rik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Fe and the ADM Taquaras players grew even worse after the yellow card. ADM Taquaras's Décio Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Murillo in the 44th minute of play. When Guillermo Bemabe fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Fe's protests and gave Guillermo Bemabe a yellow card for diving instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Augusto Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. Silverio Sanson made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Alexsandro Paranaense sent off a good shot on target.
