Maurinho Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. If Luis Iban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Luis Iban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurinho Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when Aracatiara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Radius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Iban, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Luis Iban had several of the Aracatiara EC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Mario Radius as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 44th minute Giovani Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Iban was the one to do the kick off. Mario Radius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Iban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aracatiara EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Igor Cordara was slow to take the kick. During this time Bahía é Carnaval's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bahía é Carnaval's Igor Cordara to fire away a dangerous shot which Mario Radius despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 53 played minutes Aracatiara EC got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Furlan. After 57 minutes, Conrado Cambranes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahía é Carnaval and the Aracatiara EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Conrado Cambranes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Giovani Cearense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Fidel Estefan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fidel Estefan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Cearense in the 60th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Adilson Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aracatiara EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bahía é Carnaval the free kick. After 65 played minutes Aracatiara EC got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Cabral. If Luis Iban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mario Radius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Iban's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Luis Iban put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mario Radius. In the 77th minute, Francisco Gagriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 78 minutes, Giovani Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aracatiara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovani Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Aracatiara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Iban came free, but Mario Radius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Ceferino Miro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mario Radius. Aracatiara EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ceferino Miro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Mario Radius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Demario in the 95th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Francisco Gagriel got a free kick in the 96th minute. After 97 played minutes, Aracatiara EC's César Vergílio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fidel Estefan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aracatiara EC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bahía é Carnaval had won after a very even match.
