The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Cebada to strike the kick off in the second half. Evelio Mendez's late challenge caught a Monitor Huáscar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evelio Mendez helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes CERPA got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Mendez. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal got a free kick in the 96th minute. CERPA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
