After having played for 29 minutes, Abdelhamid Merbah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adab FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhamid Merbah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 45 minutes of play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Adrian Johansson made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zoheir Chadl was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Johansson was the one to do the kick off. Jim Frisck hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Adrian Trillkott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abd al-Asis Lacen in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when Adab FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayeb Drioueche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Conny Granberg was substituted for Pål Ahlstedt. Adab FC's Zoheir Chadl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brahim Charradi in the 76th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Adab FC's goalkeeper Zoheir Chadl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 93 played minutes, Adab FC's Ahmed Tahar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adrian Trillkott came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Adab FC reached it. With a little luck, Adab FC's Zoheir Chadl got control of the ball when Håkan Ahlstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Adab FC.
