With an all-out effort, Florida Gulf Coast's Elías Ulibarrigamboa threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leo Karlo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 7 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Oliveiro. Andreas Pirlo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Flavio Lauren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elías Ulibarrigamboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gordon Nazario succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 17th playminute. Elías Ulibarrigamboa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Gordon Nazario sent off a good shot on target. Lucio Geofredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zenaido Ramírez's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ got a corner. Florida Gulf Coast's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Israel Falleto ran over to the corner to take the kick. ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s Israel Falleto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucio Geofredo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 28th minute, Cipriano Aznaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomé Cáceres in the 29th minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Lucio Geofredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Leo Karlo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elías Ulibarrigamboa. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Elías Ulibarrigamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Karlo in the 33rd minute of play. ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s Elías Ulibarrigamboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ from getting a goal against them. Elías Ulibarrigamboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavio Lauren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s Elías Ulibarrigamboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Cayo in the 39th minute of play. Lucio Geofredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bartolomé Cáceres went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zenaido Ramírez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Jon-Ander Amuscotegui fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s protests and gave Jon-Ander Amuscotegui a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s Jon-Ander Amuscotegui got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Manu Zañartu's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manu Zañartu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manu Zañartu to maneuver through the defense. Elías Ulibarrigamboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Aznaro in the 54th minute of the match. Elías Ulibarrigamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Lauren in the 55th minute of play. Elías Ulibarrigamboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Karlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Lauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute, Gordon Nazario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elías Ulibarrigamboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Karlo in the 64th minute of play forced ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★'s goalkeeper Elías Ulibarrigamboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Nazario hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Aznaro. If Bartolomé Cáceres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zenaido Ramírez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Lucio Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Erruki during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Aurelio Erruki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Karlo in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elías Ulibarrigamboa saved ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ from getting behind. Elías Ulibarrigamboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Lauren in the 83rd minute of the match. Flavio Lauren took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elías Ulibarrigamboa. Elías Ulibarrigamboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Leonardo Dominix charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Dominix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Dominix. With a little luck, Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo got control of the ball when Jon-Ander Amuscotegui tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Florida Gulf Coast had played much better football throughout.
