Teobald Naumowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Hâldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 29th match minute, ZIELONE LUDKI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Wolczewski to maneuver through the defense. Codruț Zbârnea took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teobald Naumowicz. ZIELONE LUDKI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Champions Iasi's Leontin Hâldan got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ZIELONE LUDKI's Jurand Pozorski got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leontin Hâldan to make the kick off.
