The supporters of Almaröds FF booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antal Csiszár didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, János Fazekas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungarian Olympic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Börge Strömberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Fazekas in the 22nd minute of play. If Christoffer Stenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hungarian Olympic's Tamás Lovas got a free kick in the 27th minute. Máté Berta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Almaröds FF's zone, János Fazekas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börge Strömberg came out of the goal and János Fazekas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Henrik Lägdin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ábel Szentesi. The goal made the score 2-3. János Fazekas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börge Strömberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Hungarian Olympic were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Börge Strömberg made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Máté Berta sent off a good shot on target. If Henrik Lägdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Máté Berta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börge Strömberg having to interfere. Hungarian Olympic's János Dala was substituted for Máté Berta. After a rather tough play, Almaröds FF's Agne Eliasson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute István Császár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börge Strömberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibor Hollósi hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Henrik Lägdin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoffer Stenberg in the 73rd minute of play forced Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Ábel Szentesi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almaröds FF's Börge Strömberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by János Fazekas in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Almaröds FF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Karl-Axel Brander hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Almaröds FF's goalkeeper Börge Strömberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by János Fazekas. In the 90th minute of the match, János Fazekas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Börge Strömberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. János Fazekas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Börge Strömberg made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, István Császár took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Börge Strömberg to make any attempt to save it. Hungarian Olympic's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
