The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Loic Deal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brice Leach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Kauã Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brice Leach. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brice Leach should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Agnaldo Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Brice Leach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agnaldo Sampaio in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brice Leach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Irving Dugan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christiano Veiga. That made the score 1-3 in the 30 minute of play. Agnaldo Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Brice Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kauã Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Kauã Hermes hit a great ball. Lee Coffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Veiga having to interfere. Brice Leach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agnaldo Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Loic Deal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Veiga having to interfere. Agnaldo Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lee Coffman made a kick off. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Rodolfo Cearense replaced Agnaldo Sampaio. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Kauan Garcia was substituted for Toninho Alagoano. The supporters of Varennes booed when CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ademir Gonçalves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brice Leach. That made the score 2-4 in the 69 minute of play. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Cearense in the 79th minute of play. If Ademir Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's André Luís Mesquita got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lee Coffman in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christiano Veiga came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Varennes's Lee Coffman. But to his dismay, Lee Coffman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lee Coffman in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bedirhan Türk's late challenge caught a CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bedirhan Türk helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Bedirhan Türk. With a little luck, Varennes's Brice Leach got control of the ball when Reginaldo Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
