Leopoldo Capixaba charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Capixaba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 9 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Casagrande came free, but João Carlos Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. When Fábio Santos came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Santos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Rosario in the 36th minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Julio-César Goacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Osmar Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSÁRIO SPORT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osmar Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delfim Berger was the one to do the kick off. In the 77thth minute of the game Delfim Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Julio-César Goacher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. João Paulo Bueno replaced Delfim Berger. In the 81st minute, João Paulo Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Carlos Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Casagrande, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
