The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Jan Andrzejewski managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Poli Timisoara's Robin Pluta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Robin Pluta 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Patrik Andres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Andrzejewski having to make a save. Patrik Andres came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Andrzejewski could save by the left post. With a little luck, Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski got control of the ball when Julius-Lasse Eichenauer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Julius-Lasse Eichenauer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jan Andrzejewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rdth minute of the game Robin Pluta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Jan Andrzejewski managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Poli Timisoara's Robin Pluta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 37th minute, Poli Timisoara's Dominic Haug seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dominic Haug the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Poli Timisoara protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dominic Haug had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Zgierskie Zlewy a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jakub Gregorczyk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Poli Timisoara's Christoph Jurk. 2-1. Christoph Jurk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstanty Puch, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The Poli Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Poli Timisoara's Justin Kulovitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 45th minute Julien-Nils Ruge suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 45 minutes into the game, Sebastian Rybak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zgierskie Zlewy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Timisoara the free kick. In the 47th minute, Sebastian Rybak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robin Pluta made a kick off. When Poli Timisoara's Robin Pluta in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Zgierskie Zlewy's zone, Justin Kulovitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Andrzejewski came out of the goal and Justin Kulovitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Andrzejewski came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Patrik Andres. But to his dismay, Patrik Andres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Jan Andrzejewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Kulovitz in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Robin Pluta notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski. Jan Andrzejewski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robin Pluta in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Andrzejewski saved Zgierskie Zlewy from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Pluta in the 80th minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Jan Andrzejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julius-Lasse Eichenauer came free in the 89th minute and tried to tip the ball over Jan Andrzejewski, but to the joy of Zgierskie Zlewy's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Jan Andrzejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robin Pluta's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Patrik Andres struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jan Andrzejewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poli Timisoara. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poli Timisoara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jakub Gregorczyk was slow to take the kick. During this time Zgierskie Zlewy's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Poli Timisoara's goalie and right to Antoni Iwaszko. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Poli Timisoara's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Poli Timisoara fully deserved thier win.
