The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's Emesto Muñagorri got a free kick in the 12th minute. 21 minutes into the game, István Tótfalusi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szolnoki MÁV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaviotas FC the free kick. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Szolnoki MÁV! In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Gaviotas FC. Baldomiro Oliverios stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ottó Szántó. 0-1. Ildefonso Ortle took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ottó Szántó. Ottó Szántó dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Baldomiro Oliverios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Rufo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by György Kaszás in the 46th minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Gavino Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Szabolcs Vass managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szolnoki MÁV's supporters rose to their feet, but Szabolcs Vass was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Luke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Baldomiro Oliverios made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Gavino Luke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastian Gimenez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Gimenez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaviotas FC's Anastasio Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ottó Szántó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Ursino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Rufo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Szabolcs Vass had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Luke. Gaviotas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Szabolcs Vass was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Emesto Muñagorri came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Szolnoki MÁV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emesto Muñagorri couldn't finish the play. Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szabolcs Vass in the 95th minute of play. After 96 played minutes Szolnoki MÁV got a freekick which was hit by Emesto Muñagorri. Rodolfo Ursino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gaviotas FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
