Faustão Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Etxatxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Etxatxu in the 7th minute of play forced Aguinhas's goalkeeper Faustão Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustão Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Iigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Aguinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Ambrosio Etxatxu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faustão Gaspar. Aguinhas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 played minutes Aguinhas got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Simões. Ambrosio Etxatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Toscano during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Aguinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Toscano to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Vitório Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abel Bordat. Vitório Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Inocencio Corderall managed to get in a good position for a shot. BFC 1982's supporters rose to their feet, but Inocencio Corderall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Aguinhas defense, Edgard Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustão Gaspar. The Aguinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustão Gaspar should have stopped the shot. Edgard Iigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Bordat was a little too slow when Tiago Gabriel Arósio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 37th match minute, Aguinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Lago to maneuver through the defense. Faustão Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Egoitz in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Etxatxu in the 47th minute of play forced Aguinhas's goalkeeper Faustão Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Gabriel Arósio made a kick off. Abel Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Aguinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Iigo came free, but Faustão Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Edgard Iigo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Aguinhas's Faustão Gaspar. Faustão Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the game, Ernesto Egoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BFC 1982's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguinhas the free kick. In the 61st minute, Ernesto Egoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Corderall hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Olívio Donatello charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olívio Donatello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ambrosio Etxatxu made a great header on BFC 1982's corner, it was just that Aguinhas's Faustão Gaspar managed to reach the ball for a save. Faustão Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Inocencio Corderall sent off a good shot on target. Abel Bordat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aguinhas had won after a very even match.
