Spectators: 7468 (Terracing: 5602, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Gyál United's István Földes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Sporting Club Sicilia's Beppe De Tommasi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sándor Jászberényi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Beppe De Tommasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carter Marsili recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carter Marsili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbert Vajda might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro Crema. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Vajda ran back to his position shaking his head. Alessandro Crema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from István Földes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Amos Giusto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Club Sicilia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyál United the free kick. After 16 played minutes Sporting Club Sicilia got a freekick which was hit by Amos Giusto. István Földes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alessandro Crema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Sporting Club Sicilia's Carter Marsili dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 27th minute, Sporting Club Sicilia's Beppe De Tommasi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Alessandro Crema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Földes in the 31st minute of the match. If Róbert Vajda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting Club Sicilia's Cosimo Muzzolon got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Carter Marsili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Carter Marsili made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Róbert Vajda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gyál United's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbert Vajda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alessandro Crema breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carter Marsili might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sándor Jászberényi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carter Marsili ran back to his position shaking his head. Carter Marsili struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Sándor Jászberényi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Club Sicilia. Beppe De Tommasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alessandro Crema was a little too slow when István Földes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 62nd minute, Balázs Berta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Galdi in the 63rd minute of play. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter Marsili, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a rather tough play, Sporting Club Sicilia's Beppe De Tommasi got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute, Tibor Kerékgyártó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amos Giusto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosimo Muzzolon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Beppe De Tommasi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Carter Marsili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. Carter Marsili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tibor Kerékgyártó's late challenge caught a Sporting Club Sicilia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibor Kerékgyártó helped the player get up and apologised. 83 minutes into the game, one of Gyál United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Sporting Club Sicilia. Emiliano Galdi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sándor Jászberényi. 4-1. In the 90th minute Róbert Vajda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Crema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carter Marsili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Sporting Club Sicilia's Carter Marsili nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sándor Jászberényi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When the referee ended the match the Sporting Club Sicilia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
