In the 2nd minute Connor Presley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Viejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Joyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Heide, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Boca Gregorian Juniors getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Midas Field hit a great ball. Tony Joyce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Oosterbaan went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Oosterbaan in the 24th minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Tony Joyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Boca Gregorian Juniors getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jelle van Herwijnen hit a great ball. Jelle van Herwijnen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tony Joyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute of the match, Jason Douglas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luis Viejo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th minute, Midas Field hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deportivo Rodriguez's Tony Joyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelle van Herwijnen in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Rodriguez's zone, Fabian Oosterbaan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Joyce came out of the goal and Fabian Oosterbaan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chiel Donderwinkel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Joyce having to interfere. Deportivo Rodriguez's Tony Joyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Heide in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Deportivo Rodriguez's Marcelo Marcello was substituted for Connor Presley. When Deportivo Rodriguez's Jason Douglas in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Harry Weerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Boca Gregorian Juniors booed when Deportivo Rodriguez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Douglas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Joyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiel Donderwinkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Viejo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Plummer in the 78th minute of the match. Luis Viejo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jason Douglas's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When Javier Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Rodriguez's protests and gave Javier Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Donald Heide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Joyce. Tony Joyce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Boca Gregorian Juniors had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
