When Gerardo Viviano fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scofield's protests and gave Gerardo Viviano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Gerardo Viviano got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Godofredo Sindo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Scofield. After a rather tough play, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Damaso Nerio got a free kick in the 7th minute. The long shot by Nicasio Loramendi in the 8th minute really tested Haroldo Lartaun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fabian Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Damaso Nerio came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tacheros de Buenos Aires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Nerio couldn't finish the play. With his leg Haroldo Lartaun managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Scofield's Nicasio Frederico fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Haroldo Lartaun stood somewhat misplaced when Nicasio Frederico came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Nicasio Frederico's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Haroldo Lartaun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Braulio Bernat fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacheros de Buenos Aires's protests and gave Braulio Bernat a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Tacheros de Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Bernat to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Frederico who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Haroldo Lartaun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Scofield's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Melo came free, but Fabian Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicasio Frederico's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Haroldo Lartaun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nicasio Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Haroldo Lartaun got control of the ball when Nicasio Frederico tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Etxatxu in the 36th minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scofield's Fabian Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Dalmau in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Melo in the 48th minute of play forced Scofield's goalkeeper Fabian Pello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicasio Frederico made a kick off. Fabian Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Melo in the 52nd minute of the match. Haroldo Lartaun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Haroldo Lartaun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Etxatxu in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Frederico in the 61st minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Frederico came free, but Haroldo Lartaun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Scofield's goalkeeper Fabian Pello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Santikurtz. Scofield's Fabian Pello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Scofield from getting a goal against them. Fabian Pello made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Tomas Santikurtz sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Frederico in the 72nd minute of play forced Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Haroldo Lartaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Frederico in the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Frederico came free, but Haroldo Lartaun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes, Nicasio Loramendi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scofield and the Tacheros de Buenos Aires players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Scofield getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nicasio Loramendi hit a great ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Nicasio Frederico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Haroldo Lartaun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Damaso Nerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Nerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute Nicasio Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Lartaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes Tacheros de Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Nerio. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Scofield had won after a very even match.
