In the 5th match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Abel to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nacional Potosí booed when VN SOKOLI-VARNA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trendafil Tilev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valery Abecia came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Valentin Krotev. But to his dismay, Valentin Krotev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th match minute, VN SOKOLI-VARNA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Krotev to maneuver through the defense. The VN SOKOLI-VARNA fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Igor Bolyukov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute, Eustaquio Abendano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional Potosí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Eustaquio Abendano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Haralampi Kúrkelanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Krotev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Valery Abecia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Bolyukov in the 32nd minute of play forced Nacional Potosí's goalkeeper Valery Abecia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trendafil Tilev was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Trendafil Tilev got a free kick in the 36th minute. Valery Abecia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Krotev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nacional Potosí getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Rogelio Abel hit a great ball. Zhelyazko Baldachki hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Bolyukov was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Igor Bolyukov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Criston Abendano to maneuver through the defense. Lilcho Dotzov's late challenge caught a Nacional Potosí's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lilcho Dotzov helped the player get up and apologised. Milyo Kerkenyakov kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Haralampi Kúrkelanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordeara Abenda in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in VN SOKOLI-VARNA's zone, Guillen Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haralampi Kúrkelanov came out of the goal and Guillen Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eustaquio Abendano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Krotev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valery Abecia having to make a save. If Eustaquio Abendano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Vihren Bozhanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Guillen Aballe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional Potosí fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Despite being the better team, Nacional Potosí failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
