The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Diego Tieri was a little too slow when Ahmed Grail got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ahmed Grail received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Tieri came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmed Grail slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Dexter Morgan VR46's Fausto Pennetta got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Diego Tieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Grail, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Dexter Morgan VR46's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Grail came free, but Diego Tieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Ahmed Grail took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Diego Tieri to make any attempt to save it. When Pierre-Emmanuel Voisin came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the La Pointe Courte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre-Emmanuel Voisin couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thibaut Mazieres was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Dexter Morgan VR46 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Filippo Oddi hit a great ball. Mathys Guigon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diego Tieri. Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute Carlo Tarulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Fouquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, one of Dexter Morgan VR46:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dexter Morgan VR46. Thibaut Mazieres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Tieri having to make a save. 78 minutes into the game, La Pointe Courte's Ahmed Grail nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Tieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Diego Tieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Voisin in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dexter Morgan VR46's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mathys Guigon was slow to take the kick. During this time La Pointe Courte's players had a chance to rest. Ahmed Grail made a great header on La Pointe Courte's corner, it was just that Dexter Morgan VR46's Diego Tieri managed to reach the ball for a save. Antonello Taddeo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 90thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sabri Fouquet would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. La Pointe Courte's Sabri Fouquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save La Pointe Courte from getting a goal against them. La Pointe Courte were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dexter Morgan VR46 for a fine match.
