With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Beltran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Camilo Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Beltran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Whalley, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Simon Beltran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Whalley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ambrosio Herena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Haigh having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marty Richardson during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Valiant F.C getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marty Richardson hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Marin came free, but David Haigh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Camilo Marin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Haigh to make any attempt to save it. In the 46th match minute, Furia Calamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Steve Whalley struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Simon Beltran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valiant F.C. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Cross to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Camilo Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Haigh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Haigh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Marin in the 57th minute of the match. Silvester Atkins succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 60th playminute. Simon Beltran made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Steve Whalley sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th match minute, Furia Calamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Marin to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Whalley got free with Simon Beltran in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Iván Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Chadwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Furia Calamar's Simon Beltran got control of the ball when Silvester Atkins tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
