Orlin Hinojosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jailson Luz made a huge save. After 4 minutes Grêmio Prudente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas Sardaneta who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Palomar was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Zacarias Nazario came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Prudente's Renan Alcântara. But to his dismay, Renan Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jailson Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ederono Ojero, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Zacarias Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Atletico Maturrango getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Traycho Keremidchiev hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Evandro Paranaense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Nazario skillfully saved the ball. Jailson Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlin Hinojosa in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlin Hinojosa got free with Jailson Luz in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Alcântara in the 34th minute of play forced Atletico Maturrango's goalkeeper Zacarias Nazario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Grêmio Prudente's Renan Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Nazario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 43rd match minute, Atletico Maturrango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintin Ageitos to maneuver through the defense. Atletico Maturrango's Zacarias Nazario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Valle in the 44th minute of play. If Orlin Hinojosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Pitta to maneuver through the defense. The Atletico Maturrango players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio Prudente were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Ederono Ojero made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlin Hinojosa in the 55th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Jailson Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlin Hinojosa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Zacarias Nazario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar Valle in the 61st minute of the match. Orlin Hinojosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when Atletico Maturrango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlin Hinojosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jailson Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlin Hinojosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After taking down the ball on Atletico Maturrango's corner Lucas Sardaneta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jailson Luz quite easily take care of the ball. Zacarias Nazario was a little too slow when Cristiano Recife got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ederono Ojero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Maturrango's supporters rose to their feet, but Ederono Ojero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orlin Hinojosa struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jailson Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Maturrango. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Prudente's zone, Ederono Ojero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Luz came out of the goal and Ederono Ojero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Palomar during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Palomar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Grêmio Prudente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Maturrango throughout the match.
