The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Petersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjámin Csontos was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Jonathan Petersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lirarnas Lag fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Calistrat Tomulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rune Grep made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jonathan Petersson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjámin Csontos came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Petersson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Luo Gang Zhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lirarnas Lag's Rune Grep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Tomulescu in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match, Christer Wästerberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benjámin Csontos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Illés Rigó charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Illés Rigó the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Illés Rigó hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC defense, Christer Wästerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjámin Csontos. The Fortuna Balassagyarmat FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjámin Csontos should have stopped the shot. Christer Wästerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Benjámin Csontos made a huge save. Benjámin Csontos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Petersson in the 85th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Jonathan Petersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Benjámin Csontos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lirarnas Lag eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
