Jiang Gang started the match with the kick off. Jiang Gang in the 2ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alan Voller, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 6 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Alan Voller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Sá. Almiro Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Etxekopar in the 12th minute of play. Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkeley Huther in the 13th minute of play. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Elderslie Magpies's Ovidio Etxekopar. But to his dismay, Ovidio Etxekopar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Elderslie Magpies's Alan Voller got control of the ball when Jiang Gang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alan Voller made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jiang Gang sent off a good shot on target. Alan Voller was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Jiang Gang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jiang Gang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Rafael Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alan Voller made a huge save. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube Patrício's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dioskouroi Zahakis was slow to take the kick. During this time Elderslie Magpies's players had a chance to rest. Atila Punta made a great header on Elderslie Magpies's corner, it was just that Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Rúben Dantas got a free kick in the 41st minute. One of Sporting Clube Patrício:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elderslie Magpies:s goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Elderslie Magpies. Ovidio Etxekopar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Almiro Setúbal. 1-2. Honorato Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position.
