The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robin Peyraud charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robin Peyraud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mapovihesa FC booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Peyraud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc-Aurèle Hallier hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Mapovihesa FC's Genaro Osoro got control of the ball when Joël Laget tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marc-Aurèle Hallier got his second yellow card in the match during the 16th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 16th match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Aurèle Hallier to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Le Stade Briochin UC booed when Mapovihesa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Francho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Osoro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robin Peyraud showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Le Stade Briochin UC's Leonel Baumer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Abascal in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Robin Peyraud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Peyraud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Osoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Abascal came free, but Leonel Baumer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Robin Peyraud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Peyraud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genaro Osoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Cardot in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Mapovihesa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Herena to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Osoro made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Joël Laget sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Mapovihesa FC's Severiano Abascal got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Joël Laget left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Le Stade Briochin UC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severiano Abascal was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Mapovihesa FC defense, Robin Peyraud kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Osoro. The Mapovihesa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Osoro should have stopped the shot. Mapovihesa FC's Genaro Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jocelyn Benito in the 66th minute of play. Leonel Baumer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Bembe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Le Stade Briochin UC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Robin Peyraud hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Peyraud to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Baumer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Abascal in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Jocelyn Benito got a free kick in the 75th minute. Mapovihesa FC made a substitution. Dante Rutenio replaced Aurelio Shepherd. Mapovihesa FC's Gabriel Garaile was substituted for Severiano Abascal. Genaro Osoro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Paul-Henri Pierlot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Osoro having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Le Stade Briochin UC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mapovihesa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
