But to his dismay, Elodio Ghinescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Melvin Passemard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Redisz in the 6th minute of the match. If Radomil Redisz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mehdi Cuvillier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Manuel Tufescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Tufescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salomon Bordet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melvin Passemard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomil Redisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A well done corner resulted in Leontin Toma drilling the ball in to score 2-0 behind corsaire nantais's goalkeeper. 19 minutes into the match, corsaire nantais's goalkeeper Melvin Passemard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elodio Ghinescu. Étienne Toullec's late challenge caught a FC MCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radomil Redisz might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melvin Passemard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomil Redisz ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 44 minutes, Radomil Redisz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomil Redisz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Redisz in the 46th minute of play forced corsaire nantais's goalkeeper Melvin Passemard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brian Seguela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute, Radomil Redisz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Hélary hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, corsaire nantais's goal looked a bit too open when Radomil Redisz came free, but Melvin Passemard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Redisz in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melvin Passemard saved corsaire nantais from getting behind. Mugur Jupâneanu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Bogdan Agusoaei managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC MCM's supporters rose to their feet, but Bogdan Agusoaei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melvin Passemard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that FC MCM were the better team. FC MCM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
