Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Maurice Vissenakens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 8 minutes of play, Purple Shadows's Ulryk Milan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricky Van Dock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dobromir Keep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franck Rutgeerts in the 11th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Gorom Kanø who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacardi FC's Ricky Van Dock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricky Van Dock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gorom Kanø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bacardi FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Soliwoda was slow to take the kick. During this time Purple Shadows's players had a chance to rest. After 17 minutes Bacardi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Soliwoda who took care of the corner kick. Purple Shadows's Emil Soliwoda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ricky Van Dock in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Cornelis Goorts fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacardi FC's protests and gave Cornelis Goorts a yellow card for diving instead. Cornelis Goorts kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Bacardi FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pierre Gebuers hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bacardi FC's Ariando Vacas got a free kick in the 27th minute. Purple Shadows's Emil Soliwoda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bacardi FC. Ricky Van Dock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gorom Kanø in the 34th minute of play. Cornelis Goorts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Dobromir Keep made a huge save. Dobromir Keep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franck Rutgeerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Cornelis Goorts notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Purple Shadows's Dobromir Keep. Dobromir Keep was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dobromir Keep was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Jonas Decorte capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonas Decorte really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 45th match minute, Purple Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Alberg to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gorom Kanø made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Alberg in the 52nd minute of play forced Bacardi FC's goalkeeper Ricky Van Dock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gorom Kanø took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricky Van Dock. Ricky Van Dock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Geert Bosmans charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geert Bosmans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geert Bosmans to maneuver through the defense. Artur Kapinos kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Roy Voet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacardi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Voet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Ulryk Milan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricky Van Dock. The goal made the score 2-3. In the 74th minute, Jakob Alberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gorom Kanø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Rafettin Üner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafettin Üner's late challenge caught a Bacardi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafettin Üner helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bacardi FC booed when Purple Shadows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafettin Üner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Keep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Vissenakens in the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Purple Shadows's Jakob Alberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricky Van Dock. Ricky Van Dock yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Gorom Kanø received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricky Van Dock came out and tried to block the shot, but Gorom Kanø slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 88th minute. Purple Shadows played a much better game than Bacardi FC and deserved their victory. The Bacardi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
