Campus Douro Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atl. Taquaritinga the free kick. Campus Douro Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennys Gøl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goalkeeper Cássio Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Campus Douro Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonel Messi was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Leonel Messi to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Coelho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 45 played minutes Clube Atl. Taquaritinga got a freekick which was hit by Dennys Gøl. Benedito Figueiras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cássio Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Clube Atl. Taquaritinga were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Messi got free with Carlos Coelho in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Figueiras went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 94th match minute, Campus Douro Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sálvio Baldaia to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube Atl. Taquaritinga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
