ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Jon Calatayud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting a goal against them. Guido Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 7th minute Guido Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Guido Escobar sped through PLURAL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Caio Coutinho. Guido Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Coutinho having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Guido Escobar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caio Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caio Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Guido Escobar might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caio Coutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Escobar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Guido Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guido Escobar in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caio Coutinho saved PLURAL from getting behind. In the 37th minute of the match ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a corner. PLURAL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julio Alacuart ran over to the corner to take the kick. Virgílio Vilarinho tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Caio Coutinho. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO were awarded a corner. Julio Alacuart went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Saverio Castelao managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Saverio Castelao hit a great ball. Caio Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Escobar's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Guido Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Caio Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Escobar made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Nuno Taveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Calatayud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, PLURAL's Caio Coutinho got control of the ball when Julio Alacuart tried to sneak it across the goal line. PLURAL's Benedito Caetano suffered a concussion in the 66th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 66 minutes into the game, Guido Escobar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PLURAL the free kick. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Rey Northe replaced Julio Alacuart. Aldo Melo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jon Calatayud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PLURAL. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Velasques in the 80th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Jon Calatayud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Rubén Flores got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Ruperto Mendez was substituted for Guido Escobar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ruperto Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Ruperto Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ruperto Mendez fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's protests and gave Ruperto Mendez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ruperto Mendez hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PLURAL.
