Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Real Còrdoba FC's Mikel Arteta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Real Còrdoba FC's Martin Jerold got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Isidoro Dalmau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Còrdoba FC's Hu Jian Liang got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's zone, Mikel Arteta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Lobonț came out of the goal and Mikel Arteta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Real Còrdoba FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moise Tomulescu took the corner. Bogdan Lobonț made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Hu Jian Liang sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute of the match, Mikel Arteta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Lobonț saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baldomero Ugaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Agachi in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Agachi in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Ugaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 37 minutes, Gigel Bulgar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Bulgar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Martin Jerold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Lobonț made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Hu Jian Liang sent off a good shot on target. Alexandru Săvulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martin Jerold fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikel Arteta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narcis Agachi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Tomulescu in the 58th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Lobonț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Jerold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Florin Moscu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Real Còrdoba FC's Isidoro Dalmau quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 66 minutes into the match, Real Còrdoba FC's Mikel Arteta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Lobonț narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Real Còrdoba FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moise Tomulescu in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Real Còrdoba FC's corner Moise Tomulescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bogdan Lobonț quite easily take care of the ball. Hu Jian Liang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Lobonț having to make a save. 76 minutes into the match, Real Còrdoba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Agachi came free, but Baldomero Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Mikel Arteta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Còrdoba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Real Còrdoba FC's Eduardo Jerano was substituted for Moise Tomulescu. Mihai Nițescu's late challenge caught a Real Còrdoba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihai Nițescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Mihai Nițescu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Narcis Agachi got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Còrdoba FC fully deserved thier win.
