The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Tango en Miami FC's Emanuel Matos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emanuel Matos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tango en Miami FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emanuel Matos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Graig Davenport successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Graig Davenport took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atlético Mineiro's zone, Alberto Norman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Donatello came out of the goal and Alberto Norman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tango en Miami FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alberto Norman hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kidlat Cabanit in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Graig Davenport prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Clube Atlético Mineiro's corner Henrique da Fonseca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Graig Davenport quite easily take care of the ball. Graham Kearney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Kidlat Cabanit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Graig Davenport. Tango en Miami FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kidlat Cabanit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 47 minutes into the match, Célio Valle notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tango en Miami FC's Graig Davenport. Graig Davenport was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Graig Davenport stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Clube Atlético Mineiro booed when Tango en Miami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Christensen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Norman struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Moisés Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tango en Miami FC. Graig Davenport stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kidlat Cabanit's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Graig Davenport didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kidlat Cabanit went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Clube Atlético Mineiro booed when Tango en Miami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carson McCann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tango en Miami FC's Graig Davenport played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kidlat Cabanit in the 78th minute of play. Graig Davenport made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Valle in the 79th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Graham Kearney kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Moisés Donatello. That made the score 4-1 in the 82 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tango en Miami FC's zone, Célio Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Graig Davenport came out of the goal and Célio Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carson McCann hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Graig Davenport showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kidlat Cabanit in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Norman in the 91st minute of play forced Clube Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Moisés Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Célio Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graig Davenport took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clube Atlético Mineiro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tango en Miami FC for a fine match.
