The referee ignored Team Rocco's protests and gave Thomas Runeberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Discípulos de Ayn Rand booed when Team Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Runeberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Lain Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lain Abeita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Discípulos de Ayn Rand reached it. Andréas Snell hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Marcus Klint acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cidro Abajas. Robustiano Abello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Abello in the 90th minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Marcus Klint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Discípulos de Ayn Rand defense, Sten Lundin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justino Abaunza. The Discípulos de Ayn Rand fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justino Abaunza should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Team Rocco had won after a very even match.
