Moise Cristoloveanu was slow to take the kick. During this time BVB 09's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Florin Chilian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Xano Menendez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Xano Menendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Vernescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Iacob Vernescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xano Menendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Zărnescu couldn't finish the play. BVB 09's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
