Bixente Morio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şimşek Yağızer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comunardo Potenza got free with Bixente Morio in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rachid Borgès received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Patrice Marsonet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bixente Morio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comunardo Potenza in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Jean-Pierre Morineau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Marsonet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Les Pionniers de Touraine's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Florei came free, but Bixente Morio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Florei in the 23rd minute of play forced Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Bixente Morio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Les Pionniers de Touraine's goal looked a bit too open when Lucian Florei came free, but Bixente Morio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Comunardo Potenza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rachid Borgès made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Les Pionniers de Touraine getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Damien Marguier hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the game, Lucian Florei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bixente Morio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute Camporioccio VS were awarded a corner. Lucian Florei went to the cornerflag to take it. 62 minutes into the game, Gabin Passot threw the ball into play from the sideline. Camporioccio VS's Göran Ekelund quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Patrice Marsonet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rachid Borgès in the 65th minute.
