Emerald's attentive Iacob Urdoi managed to snatch the ball when Dušan Ferenčík made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Piţurcă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adam Hrdina. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Hrdina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adam Hrdina, 2-0. Emerald's attentive Petruț Culiță managed to snatch the ball when Dušan Ferenčík made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 14th minute of play. Victor Piţurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emerald's Iacob Urdoi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dušan Ferenčík, made in the 19th minute of the game. Victor Piţurcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina got control of the ball when Victor Piţurcă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nichifor Nicolae came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović. But to his dismay, Nikola Krstović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 27 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Piţurcă. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Hrdina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. Nichifor Nicolae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Krstović in the 32nd minute of the match. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Hrdina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Nikola Krstović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichifor Nicolae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emerald's Iacob Urdoi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dušan Ferenčík in the 41 minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Emerald's zone, Nikola Krstović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nichifor Nicolae came out of the goal and Nikola Krstović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Emerald's Iacob Urdoi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dušan Ferenčík in the 51 minute of the game. The throw-in from Dušan Ferenčík in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Emerald's Petruț Culiță. Adam Hrdina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFK Petržalka's attentive Dušan Ferenčík managed to snatch the ball when Iacob Urdoi made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute, Petruț Culiță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, Emerald's Ferdinand Condrea made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Hrdina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Piţurcă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Hrdina having to make a save. When Nikola Krstović came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Krstović couldn't finish the play. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 73rd minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Nikola Krstović fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dávid Strelec in the 82nd minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Nichifor Nicolae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ferdinand Condrea hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Dušan Ferenčík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Dušan Ferenčík got a free kick in the 86th minute. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae got control of the ball when Nikola Krstović tried to sneak it across the goal line.
