After 9 played minutes Nova Era got a freekick which was hit by Zé Augusto de Sousa. The audience was convinced that Luís Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Vaz was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Romero came free, but Egídio Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Dalmo Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes in the game, Luís Romero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Egídio Vaz having to interfere. Luís Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Zé Augusto de Sousa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Agro Imortal's Luís Romero got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Romero got free with Egídio Vaz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dalmo Recife hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Luís Romero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Vaz having to make a save. Luís Romero succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 26th playminute. With a little luck, Nova Era's Egídio Vaz got control of the ball when Luís Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Luís Romero made a precise shot to the right of Egídio Vaz. Nova Era's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some careless play in the Nova Era defense, Luís Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egídio Vaz. The Nova Era fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egídio Vaz should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nova Era booed when Agro Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vito Freire stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agro Imortal's Luís Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Romero scored 6-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egídio Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Romero in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Vaz saved Nova Era from getting behind. In the 58th match minute, Agro Imortal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Nova Era's Egídio Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Romero in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Agro Imortal's Luís Romero made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agro Imortal made a substitution. Valdir de Amorim replaced Harry Stanley. Agro Imortal made a substitution. Agro Imortal's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 76 minutes, Delfim da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agro Imortal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nova Era! The referee gave Agro Imortal a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manoel Aguiar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nova Era's Egídio Vaz. 9-0. In the 83rd minute Delfim da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Delfim da Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Egídio Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the game, Delfim da Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Egídio Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Egídio Vaz came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Agro Imortal's Delfim da Costa. But to his dismay, Delfim da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Agro Imortal fully deserved thier win.
