Enéas Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Barbato having to interfere. Filippo Barbato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Seco in the 20th minute of play. Guará FC's Enéas Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Comunardo Quadrini fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Comunardo Quadrini a yellow card for diving instead. Comunardo Quadrini kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ennio De Nardiss short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Emílio Motta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 27th match minute, XMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio De Nardis to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Luís Souto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filippo Barbato was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ennio De Nardis in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emílio Motta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 38 minutes into the match, Guará FC's Enéas Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filippo Barbato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 played minutes XMAS got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Di Liddo. The supporters of XMAS booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ennio De Nardis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guará FC's Emílio Motta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ennio De Nardis to strike the kick off in the second half. Enéas Seco struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Motta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute Ennio De Nardis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. XMAS were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Guará FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dave Barillari took the corner. XMAS's Dave Barillari was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emílio Motta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65th minute of the match, Enéas Seco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Barbato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Guará FC were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after XMAS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diamantino de Lara took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Diamantino de Lara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filippo Barbato quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guará FC's Flavinho Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio De Nardis in the 77th minute of play forced Guará FC's goalkeeper Emílio Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Ennio De Nardis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When José Vítor Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guará FC's protests and gave José Vítor Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. The XMAS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Guará FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
