After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Luís Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guará FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Alagoano during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronaldinho Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute Ronaldinho Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rômulo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Arruda was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Ademar Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Ademar Peixoto got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jorginho Dias made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Luís Souto sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Guará FC booed when ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Guará FC's Gustave Martinot broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldinho Mangueira to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Cléberson Lopes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Gustave Martinot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorginho Dias skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute, Luís Souto made a precise shot to the right of Jorginho Dias. ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Jorginho Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bater Cuca, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Bater Cuca came free, but Jorginho Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 93rd minute, when ≈SΞVĺЯΔ FC™'s Christian Alves after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Emílio Motta in Guará FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 96 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Bater Cuca. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guará FC had won after a very even match.
