The Winksele 2016 fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Winksele 2016's Jens Vereyt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st minute, Thibaud Segers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Martial Schwersenz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fire Devils's protests and gave Martial Schwersenz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Winksele 2016 booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martial Schwersenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Aelgoet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Schnyder having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Vereyt came free, but Vladimir Schnyder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens Vereyt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Thibaud Segers hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Jens Vereyt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Schnyder was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 39th minute, Thibaud Segers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Bircher struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Floris Milters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fire Devils. Floris Milters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pawel Bouchard in the 46th minute of the match. When Remi Aerts fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winksele 2016's protests and gave Remi Aerts a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by Remi Aerts. Floris Milters made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Feodor Cadotsch sent off a good shot on target. The Fire Devils players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Winksele 2016 were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pawel Bouchard to make the kick off. Remi Aerts kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Pawel Bouchard put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Floris Milters. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Winksele 2016 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Vereyt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thibaud Segers charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fire Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pawel Bouchard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Winksele 2016's Jens Vereyt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Joos De Middeleer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winksele 2016's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joos De Middeleer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Fire Devils's Salvator Kälin made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Floris Milters was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gregory Schuts hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the game, Henrik Basciano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fire Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winksele 2016 the free kick. In the 98th minute, Henrik Basciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fire Devils were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Winksele 2016 for a fine match.
