Andreas Bengtsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Hassell's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. A collision led to Djurgården IF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Aaron Cane hit a great ball. Andreas Bengtsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Hassell, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Ted Ödmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronan Marler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Öman in the 31st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Real Death Ducks defense, Johannes Öman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronan Marler. The Real Death Ducks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronan Marler should have stopped the shot. Andreas Bengtsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Hassell in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Real Death Ducks getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kristian Gerrard hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Djurgården IF's Aaron Cane got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Real Death Ducks's Ronan Marler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klas Enström in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Hassell in the 55th minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Andreas Bengtsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Bengtsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Hassell's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Ron Barber kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ronan Marler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johannes Öman in the 62nd minute. Åke Pilberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Klas Enström fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården IF's protests and gave Klas Enström a yellow card for diving instead. Klas Enström hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Matty Fox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Djurgården IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Djurgården IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
